Working In a grocery store you have the chance to meet many interesting people. Old and young a like, life through their eyes is always just a little bit different. Occasionally you meet one that really touches your heart, someone who make you stop and think. A little girl came into today, I put her to be around the age of 10. The difference of this 10 year from any other? She was in a wheelchair. The chair I was told by the mother was custom-made for her to enjoy life more. But what struck me about this girl was even with her disability she seemed perfectly content. Not the kind of contentment that says “This is where life put so this is where I’ll remain”, But the kind that says “I’m me and nothing is going to stop me from being all I can be!” She was a beautiful girl perfectly at peace.
Not many people find Peace. whether is young girl found spiritual peace or not is a question I’ll never know until I reach heaven. But I do know that I found this peace in Jesus Christ! I was 10 when I finally understood what God did for me. I was attending a christian girls camp for the summer…..a reason to get away from home I thought. My parents had taught me the same things that they were teaching me at camp, but something just clicked that summer. I finally understood that I was a sinner in need of a savior. I knew that without Christ I was going to spend an eternity in hell. I understood why Christ died for me. When I accepted Jesus i found true peace and In him not WITH but IN him I became ‘utterly Nikki’!
